Drayton Tigers Junior Football Club was founded in 1975
by local youths who raised the cash to buy their own football
kit and a couple of balls. How thing have changed, today
the club consists of 17 teams with age groups from under
8 to18 including a girls team. Though the size and organization
of the club has changed since founded the basic principle
of a group of youths committing themselves to training
each week and a game of football win or lose hasn't altered.
We take great pleasure from giving these youngsters the
opportunity to enjoy quality football and helping them
develop their skills in a safe environment..
The club prides
itself on its professionalism and have achieved the Charter
Standard Development Status. To achieve this accolade
many hours were given by all involved, attending courses
on Child Protection, First Aid and Correct Coaching Practices
and the development of a code of practice..
Our aim is to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for
the development of football skills for all races and genders,
and hopefully produce the next David Beckham or Michael
Owen.
